You can add AF confirm, there's a few posts on it a couple pages back.

Mine actually doesnt make the same noise as in your description. I just tried it again. Mine just isn't super tightly mounted. It moves a bit and the noise i'm hearing is from the lens shifting on the mount (only a few mm of movement though...very slight).

1. it doesnt bother me terribly either BUT.....my concern is that there is actually something loose in the lens, which I was told is a sign to return it with all due force. I am thinking there is a high likelyhood that one of the elements is loose.....and I am worried about future misalignment ?

2. I am also surprised that there is no AF confirm chip on this. I use my Takumar with AF confirm and that is decades old. Seems that a new lens should have that.

I'd say to post your first statement on Rokinon's Facebook page to see of they know about it. As for the second point I was not too surprised that there was no AF chip, never really asked why. But it is kind of strange how Nikon has one.

This a breakdance event in Edmonton on Saturday from 5PM to 12PM. The only lenses I had on me was the Rokinon 35 and the 50L 1.2. For the most part I had to relay on live view or my flash to lock in a focus.

Two things I learned from this event.
1st, for an event with people moving around so quickly I should have just shot everything using natural light (for more keepers).
2nd, I should have used HSS everytime my flash was on.

Great to see the Samyang on the 1st page for some weeks now.
It's a great lens - as long as you can master MF it is really a diamond :)

Got a working and calibrated AF Chip on mine. Works great

Love these shots and the post processing on these Cameron :)

So many good images in this thread, can't wait to try out the 24mm 1.4.
