The 50 1.8 II is a back up! my sigma is getting recalibrated right now so that's the only 50 i have ahha.

I really like the first one. Im going for the canon 85mm instead (i think ). I used to have one and it was a killer lens.

Welcome back!! I am lusting for the 24mm but I there is the porential of school and a new Desktop or MacBook for this year. It would be very cool of my current job is willing to pay for some or all of my schooling.

I'd say to post your first statement on Rokinon's Facebook page to see of they know about it. As for the second point I was not too surprised that there was no AF chip, never really asked why. But it is kind of strange how Nikon has one.

no problem here. everythings solid and silent.
have this lens since mid december and love it (especially the super smooth focus ring).
focusing manually was no issue for me cause thats the way i focus in the first place.

shot with my 550d. i think aperture was 2
