One thing I really really lack is the ability to tell my subject how to pose. Does anyone know of a good resource that talks about the basics?

Is this link to the PDF broken? I'm getting a communication error with my browser.

I was able to get to it earlier when I posted the link here.

Google "pose guide pdf"

RC posted this on his blog a few days ago. It was one of those "I should have thought of that" moments

Google "pose guide pdf"

Ended up finding one link that had a PDF with 18 pages of just poses, no text or anything else. Is this the one? It had a woman in black clothing on the first few pages, then a guy for a few pages, then a couple.

There wouldn't happen to be one for kids posing, would there?

That's the one I was thinking of and the one linked in that post.

I don't know about kids poses though.

If you have an iPad you can download the PDFs and store them in you iBooks library. Handy to have for sure.

And then you have the ability to show the PDF's to the person you're trying to pose. I tried that for the first time a few weeks ago, though I have a netbook rather than an iPad.
