BlackRapid R-strap recommendation here. Have 2 RS-4s and a Sport, they all work great.

Just out of curiosity, in what way did you feel the quality was better?

I looked at a few reviews and it was mentioned the material was made better with the RS-7. I think I looked at a review or two here and a few other places.

I am starting to wonder if I made the decision of the RS-7. I might pick up the Luma Loop and see how they both work out compared to each other.

I debated between the luma loop and the black rapid RS-W1 (made for girls and their "parts"). I ended up going with the black rapid based on where it sits between the "parts". Then I entered a black rapid photo contest and won my double strap- which is great for wedding! I have loved both my BR straps.
But will probably wonder how the luma loop is different until I get to try someone else's out some day. Not sure my opinion really matters if you don't have the "parts" I referred to. (Although I live near Lowe's Motor Speedway and it is race week, so there are many shirtless, drunk, men with large, sagging, "parts" resting on their beer guts.)

I want lenses more than diamonds.

Fow what it's worth, I sold my Black Rapid and bought the Luma Loop and never looked back, very happy with it. Either one of these is way better than a conventional strap though, especially for sports. Peter

I have been using Luma Loop for 5 months and I love it. Will never go back to a regular camera strap. I use it with a 7D mounted with a 70-300 l..never get a neck ache.

The industry disgrace looks like a pretty big neck pad. Does it make your neck sweat in the summer? :S

Not at all, Kaitlyn. I know this sounds nuts, but even wearing it all day with camera and lens, I pretty much forget it's on.

I generally cup my camera and lens in my left hand when walking about, just to remind me it's there and to protect it in crowds or when walking fast / running.

I can also sling it over my head / neck and across one shoulder and sling the camera to one side and behind me when in stores, say, where I need both hands and don't want the camera hanging in front of me.

As I mentioned, I generally have my Kata H-16, loaded with two more lenses, 580 EX II, accessories, etc., slung on one shoulder as well.

Even wearing them all day, I can't tell you how comfortable they are. Amazing.

That's just me. Everybody has their favorites.

I've been shooting with my new RS-7 strap over the last few days, I really love it. I really was looking forward to shooting without having to take the camera on/off my shoulder, this is a big help with a 4 year old boy as I can easily do things with him without having to deal with the strap first.

I also love not having to fix my shirt and the strap every 30 seconds as I walk around. It was a never ending struggle everywhere I went.

When I am shooting w/ 7D grip, two batteries, a heavy lens, and a flash unit, I really don't notice any significant weight on me.

I don't know, this strap is kinda sexyy :) ;)
And it feels AMAZING!! Neoprene that forms to your neck, thick straps that wrap down your shoulder to your chest when camera is just chillin. And it has perforated padding for good ventilation and comfort.

I just got a Quick Strap from Amazon and it seems to work very well. I've only had it a couple of days so I've only worn it around the house. It seems to be identical to the Black rapid and 1/3 the price.

My personal favorite strap is the Think Tank strap (external link). It's about as compact as a strap can be, has excellent dual sided grip for shoulder use, and works perfect with the canon handstrap. It's slim enough to attach to the camera body along with the grip.
