I got them for next to nothing. I was just looking at Auroras sire and noticed a diffuser screen you can place on the umbrella. I have seen them before.

Are they worth it? Enough gain to make worth increasing flash power thus draining my batteries? I'm getting into this more and considering soft boxes and recently asked a question about parabolic umbrellas.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Always good information here.

I called my local photo store. They told me that diffuser just did the same thing as a soft box. You have more control directing the light. He suggested not to use it at a photo booth I'm shooting as if you get 3 or 4 people it may not illuminate properly on the outsides.
