Penn Camera has several retail stores in the Maryland - DC - Virginia area and is a highly reputable store.

They are legit with very good customer service. I have been to many of their DC area stores and have purchased a few lenses and other accessories from them. I always found that their prices were a little higher than some of the other online retailers however.

I bought 24-70mm from Penn Camera. Little higher than online store but I like the personal service and 14 day return policy. You can try the lens with your own camera.
