Found him/her curled up in a ball, sitting in the flower-patch. Walked right up to me and was sniffing me while I took my shots, then bolted for the neighbors bushes.

great shots! we wont be seeing any fawns for another month or so. they sure are cute!

There's actually a fairly heavily forested area only 1/5 of a mile away--but I was pretty surprised to see that fawn sleeping in such an open location. I'm guessing it wandered off on its own. It spent about 10 minutes bawling before finally running off somewhere.
