***************
I propose a challenge of night shots. Especially, shots that show the streaking light and no cars.

I just purchased a tripod and want to practice that technique.

Rules,

****REPEATS, IF YOU HAVE ALREADY POSTED YOUR PHOTOS IT CAN BE USED AGAIN.****

LOL

Happy shooting!!!

These were done without tripod. Not too good, but the only nightshots I have...

BartS,

I am scared to see what you do with a tripod. You will be too good for the newbie area. LOL

Here is my image, with a tripod, it doesn't hold a candle to your photo but I will submit it anyway.

Smile,

My topic is Central Park

Central Park at dusk

Excellent, particularly for no tripod.

Thanks ... I try to avoid a tripod, basically because I'm too lazy to carry it around ;-)a What I usually do in cases like this is use the selftimer and put the camera on anything solid. I use the neckstrap to level it a bit.

Noligist, I like your picture of Central Park. Strange contrast of the high tech buildings with the friendly curves and lighting of the park.
Maybe you should rotate it a bit? I don't know if it's taken just a bit off level or it's the lens distortion or just the perspective but it appears just a bit off horizontal.

BartS,

Think it is all of the above. I always seem not to be standing straight or something, also I cropped of the top a bit, that might account for you seeing in the reflection what is not at the top.

Well, I am learning but I loved the shot, hope to go back Sunday, maybe I will get another shot.

Thanks for the feedback. When I grow up, I want to be just like you.

Smile,
