Just great - really like how that came out.

One of my first attempts below...the G3 really makes it easy! I was going for a "Sleepy Hollow" kind of feel. You guys are great inspiration!

Direct from camera - no post processing. Large/fine JPG.

Manual - f2.8, 1.61s, ISO 50, 21mm focal length.

Very nice creepy picture, even the moon looks evil :)

Did u use a the flash, or a external flash ?
Maybe u can give some tips shooting in the dark.

Speed:

Flash was off.

As for night-shooting tips:

- Use a tripod. :-)
- Start w/the nightshot setting on the camera and take a few pictures. Examine the fstop and shutter speeds that nightshot uses, and then set the camera to manual and play with different combinations of shutter speeds and fstop to see how your image is affected. I mostly played w/shutter speed, and kept fstop pretty wide open so that I didn't have to get into really long exposures. (Longer exposure = more image "noise.")
- Set the timer on, and either user your remote press the shutter and let the camera take the shot w/out your hand on it to keep the camera as still as possible.
- Bring hot chocoloate so you can contemplate the heavens in complete comfort.

I took about 12 pics to get the one that I really liked, in terms of lighting and composition. Take a bunch of shots at different settings and have fun!

Wow - haven't thought about that show in years! :-O

Barnabus Collins, right? What an odd idea to have a spooky soap...but maybe not considering the $ they made off "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family" sitcoms.

Dana,

True, but that is what it reminds me of. Barbus would love that shot.

Smile,
