Will it happen?

I would love to see a Canon 4/3 camera with an EOS mount. I know, G-series is very capable. But I would like to see some Retro design.. like Canon P.

Just an early morning musing.

I think we have all wished for a compact Canon camera with a large sensor at times. Personally, I don't think it will happen until Canon stops making so much money from dSLR camera. They have no incentive to take a different path now. Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus Panasonic and Samsung aren't doing as well with regular dSLR so they are trying different things.

Now your mention of the EOS mount, no that will never happen. Using EOS lenses would defeat the purpose of a compact body because it would require a thick body (At least 44mm) and the lenses are all quite large. It would only make sense if they used a new mount with compact lenses and shallow depth.
