I took a few pics yesterday. This white dog was a stand out.

Very nice set.

Thankyou all. I was very happy with the way my camera grabbed him and held focus as he came pretty much head on to me.

thanks all, I really like that yellowish cast on it. It was a cloudy day so I set the WB to cloudy and it came out like that. I fiddled around with it in DPP trying daylight and auto and changing the tone but I kept coming back to the original as my preferred. Apart from cropping and sharpening they're pretty much sooc. To me the sand has an almost tiltshift lens look to it.

Another great set, you really know how to capture them and I know it's not easy. Are you using a 7D and did you have the camera on continuous burst?

Our nearest meeting got cancelled this month so these make me very jealous.

You caught these at a wonderful time for light. Often these events run right through noon-time and thus the dogs have funky shadows.

Yes the light was amazing. We're almost to Winter now and the sun's getting lower in the sky plus it was mostly cloudy anyway, no glare. I'm thinking about going back next month for another go.
Pinnacle I did have the 7D on burst and it latched onto that white dog and got every shot. I missed the very last when he was closest to me but only because I couldn't keep up, I got his bottom in perfect focus.
