I have a Rebel Xs and i got to choose between
1. EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens
2. EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM Lens
3. EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens
Which one is recommended and compatible?

THANKS

A little more info would help. They're all compatible. Is this to be your only lens?

Definitely NOT #3, but the the other two are completely different focal lengths. What are you going to be shooting?

If you're happy with the 18-55mm then I would go with the 70-300mm IS since the 28-135mm overlaps the 18-55mm.

EF 70-300IS is a outstanding telephoto lens but you also need something wide and the 28-135IS is not very practical on a crop sensor camera.

If you already have the 18-55, go buy the 55-250, very sharp and B h Photo has a $100 off price, $199 with free shipping, fantastic price!!!!!

It is a Canon Instant Rebate so everyone should have it for $100 less.

ok, I just saw it on BH Photo, with free shipping, seemed like a great price. I sold mine and bought a 70-200 f/4 L, and to tell you the truth, I don't see a lot of difference in image quality, of course focus and built quality is much better, but not sure if it is worth $500 more............$700 for the L, $200 for the 55-250

EF 70-300IS is much better lense if you can afford it but if on a budget the EF-S 55-250IS is a good lense for $300 that is Image Stabalized.

Also take a look at the Tamron 70-300mm VC USD. Very good lens for the price. I prefer it over both the Canon 55-20 is and 70-300 is.

6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

how about this one, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens? I believe its better than EF 70-300IS, based on price.

It is entirely different. The 10-22 is really wide angle and barely zooms. It would be good if you wanted to take pictures of really wide landscapes.

The 70-300 is a telephoto zoom so it is good at taking pictures of things that you want to zoom in on or are far away for example.

In general, if you are not familiar with the difference between these two lenses I would personally recommend the 70-300mm as being a more important complement to your kit lens for most shooting styles.
