If you already have the 18-55, go buy the 55-250, very sharp and B h Photo has a $100 off price, $199 with free shipping, fantastic price!!!!!

I sold mine and bought a 70-200 f/4 L, and to tell you the truth, I don't see a lot of difference in image quality, of course focus and built quality is much better, but not sure if it is worth $500 more............$700 for the L, $200 for the 55-250

I prefer it over both the Canon 55-20 is and 70-300 is. 6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

how about this one, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens? I believe its better than EF 70-300IS, based on price.

I believe its better than EF 70-300IS, based on price. It is entirely different. The 10-22 is really wide angle and barely zooms. It would be good if you wanted to take pictures of really wide landscapes.
