The swinglet CAM (external link), is a safe and easy-to-use flying camera. It takes high-resolution pictures automatically based on user-defined GPS waypoints. It will be your eyes in the sky.

This would be cool to play with

That's pretty cool. That's pretty similar to what we use in the Navy, a UAV Wasp. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that is considerably cheaper than the Rocket pack I was saving up for. :)

Totally cool but I wonder how well this would fly around cities with skyscrapers. The cool thing is that you can deploy a birds-eye view without need for a helicopter to survey an area. Personally the first thought that came to my mind was for post-earthquakes and such.

Shame it's so expensive though, would be cool to do some low flying over some beaches in summer :D

I'd rather modify a model helicopter. But it is pretty darn cool nonetheless.

That is actually nothing new, I have a custom built one for the movie industry however there are 2 issues for the wannabe's. 1) You need insurance and that is not easy. 2) If you receive any compensation for work you are breaking the law, ie, FAA flight restrictions regarding these units. The FAA is in the process of producing guidelines for this.
