6 shots stitched together in Photoshop. The supercell kinda stalled about 30 miles away for about an hour and then it tore through Northern IL in just minutes. About 45 seconds after I took this, the hail moved in something fierce. The creep green color in the middle of the storm is EXACTLY how it looked in real life.

Cool storm man, never seen a supercell in real life. I like everything about this except for the cylindrical bend in the sky due to the stitching. I might distort it back so that the sky is less cylindrical, even if it makes the ground moreso.

There is actually very little bend to the photo, the storm coming was actually U shaped. I posted the original 6 photographs I used and the corresponding Doppler Radar image from the exact time I took the shot as well.

All of the info can be found on my blog here: http://ctysonphotography.com/blog/supercell-thunderstorm-wall-cloud-in-illinois-5-22-2011 (external link)
