Love the 2nd shot. First would be good for me if shadows were opened slightly.

Thanks

I tried a little to open them up a bit, not much there. I'll have to go back there and try under better conditions (this is from a small viewing platform, about 8 square feet, and I got invaded by about dozen 7-9 year old cub scouts that hadn't been tired out by the hike:))

I don't know why it does that, I've seen it on other posts too. These were visible just a little while ago and they are still linked. Yet another internet mystery

Yeah... Flickr is known to do this quite often. Not as bad as Photobucket though.

Looks better to me now.

I prefer the second, if you can pull up the shadows (as mentioned) and kill the bright area. The first has blown out water, and the third could have benefited from the use of a polarizer to kill the glare on the wet rocks.

Apparently Flickr randomly makes images unavailable because I can't see any of them.

I redid some of the PP on the 1 & 2, I agree they are better now. I actually did have CP on the 3rd one but I guess I didn't have it orientated right. It was tough to see any discernable difference as I was adjusting. Probably comes down to being more deliberate with setting up and evaluating the shots before I press the button.

Every shot and PP is a learning experiance, just need to make sure I pay attention to the lessons
