Nov 16, 2015 19:02 | #2703 Ok took the new Monochrom out this weekend - All in all very impressed by the files coming out of this camera / flickr does not preserve all the detail in these files. To see them on screen is really amazing. This was a very humbling experience. Shooting this weekend made me realize how lazy I've become shooting digital - typically files are very forgiving and you can do a lot in post. The Monochrom demands you expose correctly and really think about what you're doing. I'm not implying that you can't enhance your shots post processing.but from what I can see from my first outing is the best images to be made with this camera are when they are exposed correctly and only lightly touched if at all in post. Looking forward to learning this camera. 35mm SummiluxIMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Bb8Jmv my name is rich / gear list

Impulse buy and all that. But when I do I find it is an excellent camera for capturing intimacy with my subjects--not person-to-person--but of personality and environmental influences. I like this, maybe there is a Leitz magic, even with CV lenses. I'd really love to see more from others of their people shots rather than cold views of a distant world. Something transparent? Both eyes open, still interacting with the subject? Canons to the left, Canons to the right,

It's small not over baring like a big DSLR with a large lens can be. I find it easier to get a relaxed and more real image. Nothing quite like it for the streets thats for sure.

Allen no I got the M246. I have some ultra wide angles and use the EVF on the 240 and wanted the same ability with the Mono. You're right, the amount of detail in the files is really something. After seeing the files I shot, I can imagine the detail in your portrait shot above. I really like the full range of tonal values - it's what we worked towards with film. my name is rich / gear list

I use one on my x100T, and while its a fraction of the weight of my M6, it makes the ergonomics much more stable. I would love one for my M6 but I use a grip as I think the thumb grip would be weird alongside the film advance.
