I was able to check in at the hotel (Weston by the harbor) but had to be at the space to hang the exhibit at noon. So was jet lagged and sleep deprived the first day. That was the 30th and the opening was May 2. May 1 is a big holiday there. Consul General Rick Yoneoka spoke as well as several others. It was quite humbling. Hopefully you have a few days to enjoy the city and the whole experience before flying back. Congratulations again. | New website.

Congratulations again. While I'm in the Leica thread, I was up in Madrid the other day and decided to pop into the best camera store I know of in Spain to check out their used Leicas. It dawned on me that I am not far off being able to pick up an old M3 or M4 body and lens, and part-exchanging some of my Fuji gear would make it even more of an affordable dream. I shoot a few rolls of film every year as it is, and would happily shoot more but my Yashica SLR has an intermitent fault and occasionally needs some time to relax before working again, and have shot film rangefinders (Canonet) in the past and really enjoyed the experience so I think this could be my gateway drug to living la vida Leica. I am leaning towards an M4 because while my first lens will be a 50mm, I'm more likely to go wider to a 35mm than I am to any of the longer focal lengths the (same price) M3 better caters for, and the M4 has framelines for 35mm which the M3 lacks. Does this seem like a good decision to people with more Leica knowledge than myself? I know none of these cameras have an exposure meter but I live in a location where the Sunny 16 rule will work about 300 days out of the year! Seems perfectly logical to me but I love Leica M's.
