Haha! True, it's not your typical lens. Especially for that kinda coin.

And honestly, unless you NEED that extra stop in speed you're much, much better off with the Summilux (f/1.4) if not the Summicron (f/2). Large and heavy, slower to focus and did I mention the price?

That said, it's amazing what this thing can do.

It really is, Ronnie. But you've got to NEED (or WANT) that speed. The rest of the time, a Summilux or Summicron is a far better choice. Case in point, that lovely shot you've posted.

The Noctilux does interest me, but I've got the 50 Summilux ASPH and 50 Summicron already and the Noctilux price could get me a minty 21 Summilux and 35 Summilux FLE. It does produce some lovely images, but I know if I had it I'd use it and sell it within 6 months as the money tied up in it wouldn't make it worthwhile for me.
