Thanks and yeah the 35 lux is truly amazing.

There also appears to be a capable photographer behind that lens. Nice shot.

I have the same lens, it is amazing fun to shoot with wide open at night time.

I'm actually thinking of starting to use it for weddings.

Good lord, that is one sharp photograph.

I was thinking the same thing! Allen, the combination of you and your tools is producing some amazing images.

Allen,

EXIF viewer shows a lot of information but is missing aperture. What was it?

Thanks -g-

I am really anxious to see the new M and I would only guess in a year or two the new M-E. I really do plan on switching completely over to Leica in the next few years. I'm thinking about an older 90 2 cron and maybe a 21 lux. It will take a few years and the business remaining strong. Look'n forward to you come'n out. Maybe a beef sammy at Als on Taylor or a deep dish pie at Lous on wells.

Question for you.

I notice that Lightroom isn't getting the EXIF right. When I shoot at 1.2, it's registering as 1.4 or 1.7 in LR. Do you have the same issue?

Case in point:

Can't help you there. The EXIF is wrong on all my lens, even the Leica lens and my m9 has even been back to New Jersey for calibration very recently already. I just learned to live with it.

Photography is not defined by what gear you own.

Yes this is normal, your coding your lens as a 35 1.4 lux I assume? When its wide open it will think its at 1.4/1.7 for the exif. Annoying but not really a big deal.

I've been thinking of getting one at some point and seeing you posting a decent amount with it I was wondering if you would share which version it is?

Yes its the newer 16633 FLE version and its the SHARPEST 35mm lens I've shot with period. Smokes the 35L. I love it. Heres the info. BTW I don't use light room.

File Size: 192 kb - 1024 x 681

Camera Make: Leica Camera AG

Camera Model: M Monochrom

Date/Time: 2012:12:10 14:09:49

Resolution: 1024 x 681

Color/bw: Black and white

Flash Used: No

Focal Length: 35.0mm (

Exposure Time: 0.0020 s (1/500)

Aperture: f/1.4

ISO Equiv.: 1250

Metering Mode: center weight

Exposure: Manual

Exposure Mode: Manual

I shot this at F/2 IIRC it always read 1.4 no matter what I shoot at. No big deal....

Thanks, I keep reading how it smokes all the other 35mm lenses.
