Alternative to Wimberley Flash Bracket

Looking to get a bracket for mounting a 580EX2 over my 500f4 on a Wimberley Mk2 head

The obvious choice is the Wimberley bracket but are there any other viable alternatives. It needs to be something I can easily get hold of in the UK so RRS is out I'm afraid

Some people make DIY but I will go with wimberley bracket for the WH2 head. Check naturescapes.net someone was selling (used one) it last week.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I'm wondering what the diffrence is between the wimberley and rrs flash bracket. I just bought a MK ii wimberley head and am considering the wimberley flash bracket but would also consider RRS or other brands.

Not sure about RRS but wimberley had separate parts where you can extend the height by adding more arms to it, if needed.

If your lens plate has a threaded hole you can probably buy bogen 233B flash bracket like this:

I use it for high school footabll with 300mm f2.8 IS.
