Hey guys,
I recently got my opteka battery grip for my 5dmk2. a hundred years ago I owned the opteka for my xti and didn't tell much of a difference when I upgraded to the canon version.

Opon purchasing I have one gripe with it. The shutter wheel on the grip rolls backwards than on my other grips (and all my other 1d's, which i've had 3). Any idea if i can 'reverse' this so it will be the same as my 1D?

i'd prefer not to get the 'you get what you pay for' attitude. I'm sure at some point in life i'll get the canon version, but currently this is driving me crazy. Any ideas would be great. Thanks so much.

I have the Zeiko's and the shutter wheel is fine and read's both LP-E6's just fine. Can't say the same for the Opteka as I've never used it. I've had the Zeikos grip on my 5dii for over a year now with no issues.

I've got the Opteka for my 7D and the batteries are fine. The scroll wheel does in fact go the opposite way from the wheel on the body. I don't think there is an option to reverse this. I've just learned to deal with it.

That's gonna drive me crazy. I called the company and they said it shouldn't be like that. i guess we will see what happens when I send it back in.
