Newbie question regarding lenses

Hi everyone, I have a newbie question regarding my camera lenses. I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I recently purchased a Canon T2i, included with the camera were two lenses-18-55 mm and 55-250 mm. I later bought a 50 mm 1.8 lens which I truly love to photograph my kids with. A friend is offering to sell me his 18-135mm lens , which was barley used. I guess my question is since I have the 18-55 mm and 55-250 mm lenses, is there any advantage to having the 18-135mm as well? All I can think of is that I can use it as a walk around lens?? I appreciate any input!

Frankly, I'd recommend just using the two kit lenses you already have until you can afford a much better lens. The 18-135 isn't going to drastically improve anything.

i'd stick with the lenses you have now

Ditto ^ I was in the EXACT same place you are now a few months ago. Fought the itch and so glad I did. Even the 2-300 bucks spent would have been a waste when I could have saved it up to buy a good lens.

Right now I'm leaning towards
10-22; 24-70L; 70-200 2.8 IS
Or 10-22; 17-55; Unknown awesome zoom.

Spend hours behind the camera, hours in pp, hours reading books and this website, and then you might get a hint of what will really be beneficial to you.

*Unless all of the below apply to you:
-You only use up to 135 on your nifty 250
-You want a more compact set up/hate switching lenses
-You can make money off the deal to save for a better lens while you learn with what you have
