Please let me know what could have been done to better my photo....and thank you so much in advance!

I am still getting the hang of lightroom and editing....i love doing this but would in no way shape consider myself a pro.....this is something that i use to pass time and consider it a pretty healthy hobby..

I like the first one! Maybe crop some of the sky out.

Before getting to involved with LR and editing, I suggest you get the basics of composition, framing, subject interest and backgrounds.

Top one I like a lot, nice angles. Maybe edit out the pole in the background?

Yep. Pole's got to go. I like the second shot only for it's value as an example of DoF. Otherwise I prefer the first one. Is that a Camaro?

I just don't see anything of interest here. If these were an exercise in shapes and abstracts I might see some potential but the way these are presented - no.
For the 1st - as a "shapes only" it might have worked but as a part of a car ...no. The distractions in the sky and the bush to the right take away from it. The dull "sky" isn't helping.
The 2nd - Jim put it well - the fence is the subject but the only value is the distracting OOF background. It may have helped if it was a more attractive background that gave the fence some context....like a prison yard or whatever.
Keep at it though - you have a good attitude.

I think both are pretty neat, the first for composition and the second as an exercise in DOF.

I would have liked to see an indication of the car make/model in the photo. As it stands now it's an abstract that could be any of a number of cars. I suspect it's an older American muscle car. Would be nice to see that emblem. And the ultimate touch would be to light up the interior a bit.

But all in all, two interesting shots.

I have to agree with Spike44. I just don't see the "composition" in the first that folks are talking about...too many distracting elements in the picture. Pole (or whatever it is) sticking up, top of another vehicle on the left, something cutting across the upper left corner, poor sky, bad background. If you're going to focus on shapes, pick an angle that's conducive to the shot and limit or eliminate the distractions. In the second, it would have made a much better image as an abstract if you had found a way to include the fence only, and eliminate (again) the distracting background.
