Things I have been told that sticks out in my head.
Nikon camera and Nikkor lenses are more affordable.
Nikon has face recognition. Nearly ever Nikkon lens I would use is VR.
Nikon has in camera editting. Nikon has better automatic exposure choices.
However as I have said I know nothing about Nikon.
So y'all tell me what you think and I will listen
Facial recognition (AFAIK) is useless if you're not shooting in Live View mode. And I'd rather stick a pencil in my eye and twist it a few hundred times than to shoot Live View exclusively. That, to me, defeats the whole purpose/reason for me getting a DSLR in the first place, for faster AF and less lag.
In-camera editing, if you're happy with how it works and how it edits your photos. I personally prefer to tweak it myself to the way I like it, or the way I want to present it. There are infinitely more presets/actions that you can use/develop using programs like photoshop or lightroom that will do a much better job than any in-camera editing feature.
Nikon does have better AWB and their metering with flash is also said to be superior.
