I am looking to but a wide angle lens for my canon 5d mark II camera, the old lens i have puts a circle around the image if that makes sense. Any ideas on what to get? Thanks in advance

How wide? Zoom or prime? Fishy or not? And in what cost range?

A nice reasonable cost zoom is the 17-40. A wider, very expensive prime is the Canon 14mm f/2.8. There are other options in between. Check out the table of lenses sticky, it lists out all the lenses available.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

The Rokinon/Vivitar/Bower 14mm manufactured by Samyang is a lens that will give you what you're looking for ... at a price under $400. Check out the lens image section.
