I recently came into a bunch of Pentax lenses.

I have seen that there are indeed adapters on eBay for these lenses, though reading most of them look to be incompatible with a FF camera.

Are there differences in these adapters, do some of them allow use on FF and others don't? I know I can switch the the mounts or cut off the Aperture stem off, but I would prefer to be able to keep the usable on a Pentax body.

If any one is using Pentax lenses on a 5D or 5DMKII or may have any idea what I could do, please let me know, thanks!

5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.

Seems to work on a 5D:

You might also visit that thread for more info. My Takumars are all very good to excellent. Which lenses do you have? Any with yellowing glass?

I have;
Super Takumar 17mm 4 Fisheye
Super Takumar 85mm 1.9
Takumar 135mm 2.5
Pentax SMC 40mm 2.8 Pancake
Pentax SMC 24mm 2.8
Pentax SMC 35-70mm 3.5-4.5
Ricoh 135mm 2.8
Ricoh 55mm 2.2
Pentax-Bellows 100mm 4

The Super Takumars Turned out to be M42 mount with adapters, and shouldn't be an issue. Everything else from what I'm reading says that they won't work on FF only crop without modification.

A nice K-5 would not go far a-stray. It is a very nice performing camera from all reports, Especially now that they have sorted out the Sensor stain issue. :D

I'd say the K-5 is one of the three top croppers, overall. It's a real nice package.

If Pentax had a FF I might vaguely think about it for a moment. But seeing as they only have crop, I would rather just run the lenses on the 40D.
