I had my first outside location photo shoot for my sister's co-worker's granddaughter who was turning 3. I was very nervous since being pretty new to this and not having much outdoor practice or practice with a child I don't know! I think I overexposed most of the shots, but was trying for a light/angelic/airy feel for most. We went to a park at 9 a.m. and the sun was a little brighter than I expected. I was very happy for the most part with how these turned out but if anyone has any C&C it is more than welcome.

oh wow, these are just amazing. I can't wait to get to this level. Nice work, did you use the 50mm 1.4?

Thank you so much!! I actually used the 17-55 2.8 on these! I have been loving that lens recently :)

Absolutely beautiful. The eyes are amazing! You've done a wonderful job, I love the PP and that light airy feeling.

Love! Not sure if it was your idea or mom's, but I love the simplicity of the balloon and sunflower for props. She's adorable too!

Thank you guys!!! She is a beautiful little girl and the tiniest little thing...she is about as big as my 16 month old! But her eyes are huge and gorgeous..that always helps ;)

Thank you! I looked at some different ideas I've seen on here and from friends and thought of bringing along a balloon, lollipop, flower, and bubbles for entertaining ideas. The bubble machine didn't work and she didn't care for the lollipop much...but she liked the big sunflower and LOVED that I had a pink balloon. Her favorite color. So, of course I gave it to her to keep for doing such an amazing job :)

Beautiful Becky! You have improved so much since I was last active on the boards. The first shot is a bit over kill on the eyes (although sometimes the sun itself does that) just something to watch for. Beautiful though! I love them all!

Thank you so much! And thanks for noticing improvement...I've been really trying to learn from everyone and practice a lot :) I do see what your saying about the eyes in the first. I could probably have toned it back a little since the SOOC shot was probably enough without any PP. You are right, the sun really did a lot itself in that one and her pupils got so small when looking the way of the sun that her eyes came out so bright! But I'll watch for that in future pics to tone the PP on them. Thanks for the caution!
