I would like to make a pic with colors like this;

Instead i get this;

While the actual flower on my dinner table has the same velvet dark red color as the firts link. I use a 7d 24-105mm and a cir. polarizer. What else can i do by altering settings/ tweaking in raw/ PS ?

Thx

Agreed. Not a bad picture, but it's the lighting along with the composition of the photo from the first link that makes the image more dynamic. The water also adds to its allure. Take a close look at the image. It appears the rose it's lit from behind and to the right with soft lighting that's pretty much on plane with the flower, probably slightly raised. One of the things that really brings out the color is the contrast between the light and dark.

Next, take a look at the composition. Most people shoot flowers straight on. . .boring. This certainly isn't the most spectacular shot of a flower I've ever seen, but the photographer did a good job capturing a more interesting angle. The reason straight on shots are usually boring is because that's how we usually view flowers. Try getting down lower, perhaps even below the flower and shooting up. I know that's not what you were asking, but it also helps capture more dynamic shadows and highlights if the lighting is right.
