Well, the three people who posted reviews on the Adorama site certainly have "user experience" with this boom stand and, apparently, it hasn't been good. One reviewer recommends the Adorama LSB1720 at the exact same price. That looks like a far superior product and it has received excellent reviews: LINK (external link)

That's crazy. Spend $100 with Edward at www.cheetahstand.com (external link) and get a far superior stand that will give you great satisfaction.

I'm shooting again tomorrow. I can measure it, if I remember.
It's hefty, make no mistake, but not unwieldy.

Oh, and yeah... it IS a good product. I am very pleased.

Drop me an email with the SKU number & I'll see if I can get someone in the warehouse to measure one for you: Helen@adorama.com (external link)

I have nothing to contribute to this thread.....

BUT

I would like to say that it's pretty impressive how any issue with Adorama is handled beautifully by Helen Oster. Every time I see a post or thread about a product or customer service issue with Adorama, Helen is right there to lend a hand and get the problem solved.

I'm sure that she is quite busy but understands the necessity of having a forum presence and how it sends a very positive message to consumers and instills confidence in current and potential customers.

Ok, guys... carry on. :D

I think they were a bit short-handed in the warehouse today, but hopefully they will get a chance tomorrow (Tuesday). I'll remind them....
