Can anyone recommend a good graduated ND filter for my 67mm lens.. I'm new to landscape photography and bought an el cheapo from ebay, just out of curiousity.. The affect doesn't look that great or dramatic like a lot I've seen, are there different grades similar to the ND filters ND2-32 ? Or am I using it wrong somehow

Lee or Singh Ray grads. You don't say which lens you have, but the smaller Singh-Ray grads and a Cokin P holder will do for most 67 mm lenses. If you're plannign on moving to UWA lenses that use 77 mm or larger diameter filters, go with the 4x6" size, and the Lee holders. You don't want a round screw-in grad since that leaves you composing your image to suit where the filter's transition occurs. A rectangular grad in a filter holder can be adjusted so the transition zone falls where you want it for your composition.

I bought a GND filter off eBay for around $40 a couple of years ago. I brought it specifically to photograph the spectacular thunderheads here in the wet season.

Heaps of fun to use and gets good results.

Best value in gnd filters are Hitech. Just as good in quality as Lee and Singh-Ray at a lower price.

Ive tried them all over the last year. Hitech have a magenta color cast. Could be fixed in post, but slightly difficult since a GND will only affect half the image. Trying to stack the hitechs will make the color cast almost unbearable. All that said, they are still very usable and very budget friendly.

I like my Singh Ray reverse grad, however I also find it to have a slight color cast. It works with most shots and adds a great Singh Ray feel to it. In fact I can pick out a lot of shots where a SR grad was used.

I LOVE my Lee filters. Took me forever to get them in stock but man were they worth it. Absolutely neutral stacked or single. Fantastic. And not that expensive compared to the Singh Ray.

I'm in the minority, but I'm fine with the Cokin P system for now.
(Easy to use, inexpensive, and a good place to start.)

Here is a waterfall taken at high noon with my 67mm Canon 17-85mm lens.
