Yep, That's exactly what I was expecting you to say. You definitely did not let me down on that Post MR.Teamspeed. And just so know, I did in fact purchase an additional flash or I would never have been able to do some of the projects that came out blurry and miss the "good" shots because the camera was saying "BUSY".
As far as your statement, and I quote, " It sounds like you had some choices to make, and made the wrong ones.", well I could not have said that better myself!!! The ONLY thing I made a bad choice in was purchasing this brand of camera which, by-the-way, you have thoroughly convinced me was a bad move if I did not already know that.
If they continue to allow people with so few brain cells like you to do their public relations for them, well then I really do understand why they cannot help their customers with faulty equipment. Because people like you speak for them and they have lost too much money because you keep basically pissing people off so that they NEVER want to purchase another product from, or give them another chance, just because of you and your "I'm so SMART attitude!!!
As for your "paragraphs" go, here you are, if this appeases you and I CAN at least correct the only other thing that I did wrong "EXCEPT PURCHASE A CANON CAMERA". I actually did put them in paragraphs, but obviously you were to "SMART" to see them and could not tell where one started or stopped, so that really is on you now isn't it???
I wasn't going to go here or there or anywhere else with this. I just decided this morning to let it all out and express myself to release the "stress" this "DOOMSDAY DEVICE" has caused me.
Since you have chosen to come back at me so "****TY" shall we say? Well I guess that makes it open season for "CANON" now doesn't it??? It's just as I said......every time I have tried to talk to ANYONE, ANYWHERE about my circumstances all I got was a "****TY" attitude and a lame excuse about how I didn't do something. That's a pretty sorry attitude if you ask me...it's so easy to lay the blame on the purchaser instead of fixing the problem isn't it "SMART" guy??
Whatever happened to trying to make customers happy? When did it turn to treat them like **** because they purchased our product??
You seem to think really highly of yourself don't you? Just who do you think you are talking too??? Some teen twit?? Did you happen to look at my age MR. SMARTY PANTS???I don't take kindly to someone basically calling me the stupid one when they lack the intelligence to create a solution for the problem instead of coming back at the person in need of assistance with sarcasm...
I hope you have a truly wonderful day and I want you to know as you are replying to other people like you replied to me, since you obviously think yourself so "SMART" that someone may come around and surprise you by not taking your crap!!! If you think you have in the least bit intimidated me or made me feel like the stupid one here, you are very sadly mistaken. All I see here is a person wanting desperately to be "SOMEONE" and failing miserably at it!

Yours truly,
oh and "SINCERELY"

People's tone of response tends to mirror the tone of the original question or statement. Might want to check the mirror first! ;) Personally when I ask for help, advice, or critique I go in realizing that it usually is an iD10T issue where I need to be 10% smarter than the equipment. Coming in understanding that the majority of the time the fault does not lay in the equipment and even if it does that the person behind the equipment can many times compensate tempers my mannerisms... I know you are unlikely to reflect upon that but here is to hoping that you do and take the criticism constructively instead...

But to be honest you appeared to have already made up your mind since before you even made your first post in this thread :(

Who's doing public relations for anybody here?

Damn, I used to pull up POTN when I wanted to learn something about photography, any more I come here to get my daily fill of soap operas and laughs. And did anyone else notice that this is a 3 year old thread?

As far as rmanncobb's claim that his T3i is making an "electrocution" sound when he uses the flash, I have a hunch that's the internal flash doing auto-focus assist (which is normal).

Now that you point it out that is the exact sound that AF assist makes when it pre-flashes... nice catch! And yea, I figured this guy was either an extremely immature "adult" or just a troll.

Wow.... this thread took an unexpected turn!

Um... in before the lock?

rmanncobb: First and foremost, the folks here are not shilling for Canon, 99% have no connection to the company other than owning some of their products. This is NOT an official Canon support forum and, despite your misconception, this is NOT where you go if you want an official response to an issue you may be facing with your gear.

Being a member of an honor society does not excuse the poor grammar, typing skills or manners you have displayed thus far. I suggest you take a deep breath and start again, maybe with an apology? I understand that frustration can make you do and say things that are not the most politic, but coming on here and attacking someone who attempted to help is not the way to go.

Good luck with your problem, and your future schooling.

The last post was said for the benefit of MR> TEAMSPEED, but since you "WERDS" have decided to jump in and accuse me of being the "faulty" one here ALSO.....as is usual for this particular products reps or whatever you are, I have observed.
When I started my post I told you that I was just as ordinary as anyone else. I also stated that i would like to be informed if there were any recalls basically on the camera for anything. The more I wrote, the more upset I got. Until I finally decided to just go ahead and get it all out. I NEVER put CANON down in the original quote by saying I would not purchase their products again. I did NOT tell people not to purchase their products or do anything of that nature. I stated exactly what I had been through leaving them to judge it for themselves. Obviously that was a grievous mistake as no one can understand that some things are just LEMONS!!
Basically, I have tried desperately for some kind of assistance and it appears that "you people-whomever you are" have just flat decided to be judgmental and accuse me of the faultiness.
Did ANYONE even ask for a picture before I started getting persecuted for purchasing this thing??? NO. Did ANYONE ever offer to take my camera and fix it??? NO. Did ANYONE say ANYTHING nice to me at all like perhaps the camera was bad when I purchased it for the $1200 package that I paid for?? NO and is it NOT TRUE that you two have consistently stuck to your story about USER ERROR??? I'm truly wondering at this point if you ever offer any advice or are here just to make insinuations that people in general, are stupid and do not know how to operate a camera nor do they have the intelligence to.
"You can take this however you so chose because I'm done trying to talk to people that can only blame something else instead of trying to help someone and fix the "REAL" problem. I can see now that this was pretty much a huge waste of time as I probably would have been told there was nothing wrong with my camera if I had sent it in right after purchase anyway (which it should have just been exchanged at the time as I already said, re-iterating) .
It seems only a logical conclusion that CANON does not offer any assistance to its consumers except for bad advice and instructing people how to avoid bad grades by writing paragraphs correctly. I mean really, How lame was that statement?? Come on???
Oh and telling what the TRUE reason for my bad grades is.
I will be sure and copy this whole thing and offer it to my professors and anyone else interested so they too can see what idiots they are for suggesting its the camera since they are the ones that have been instructing me on how to use it since I have owned it.
By-the-way, it did just dawn on me, how many semesters do you honestly think are in a year?? Where i'm going with this is, It was mentioned that I would rather make bad grades for 2 years.....I have no idea where that came from as there are two semesters per year. I have owned the camera just barely over a year now. Just so you know.
Oh, but wait, I guess that makes me even more stupid sense I've had it less time right???
It's okay, you can correct me if i'm wrong as you usually do when you think I am.
I've really enjoyed my morning with you guys and thanks for the wonderful adv ice. I will be sure, like I said, and copy this and place it somewhere where it can be read by all who would like so they can see exactly what CANONS opinion of the GENERAL population is on operating cameras. I think the MASS Communications department will find it quite valuable since they have invested quite a lot in CANON products and know how they are SUPPOSED to work.
Oh, but wait, They don't work for CANON so how could they possibly know anything about cameras or photography for that matter???

Good day,
rmanncobb

excuse me??? Just who offered to help me????
and as for the bad grammar, please, do tell??? Be sure you re post for all to see. As I said I will re post and copy this for everyone and anyone who would like to see this.
AND my apologies for my misconception that anyone on here might have any influence at all with CANON!! for that I truly do apologize.
I can see its just a lot of old men that think their opinions matter anyway.
As for you. You need to make sure you know and understand what you are talking about before you jump in with your opinions! They were not accurate.

Normally, I like to give the benefit of doubt to posters who are really ticked off; I understand that frustration can lead to incontinent language and run-on paragraphs.

But, in this instance, I suspect the poster would do well to reconsider his career choice - on the evidence presented, he has almost nothing to offer his chosen profession. And he seems crippled by a monumental sense of entitlement.

But I'm just a grizzled old hack with 40 years of experience, so what do I know?
