The first picture you take that you really like is very gratifying! Especially when you are always your own worst critic like me. I'm sure you have other shots that are good but just not to you. I am the same way and slowly trying to train myself to stop hating my work so much.

Sweet.... did you try a vertical crop? It would be interesting to see how a vertical crop works with the lines in the photo.

Your Exif data says 50 mm at f/5. Can I ask which lens? I took basically the same shot the other day with an 85 mm at 1.8 (just for and experiment with 1.8 to try and produce purple fringing) and it isn't nearly as nice. I know I should stop down a bit. The sharp focus is what makes this shot for me. Great job.
