I have a fairly good understanding of lighting, but only used brollies, softboxes and snoots so far.

I was thinking about getting a beauty dish for my Bowens lights, but wondered what was so special about them and whay sort of effects it will give me?

Looking at them, they look as if they will just give a harsher light, but possibly a little more concentrated, is this correct?

What would it give in comparision to say the silver dish that comes with the light?

Are there any examples showing the diffrerence between them all?

Thanks for the link. I just finished watching Zack's OneLight dvd. Now I can't wait to get out and test what I have learned!
