I was at their site the other day and I see DPP is no longer available among other items that were once there as free downloads.

I believe it is available, but it is confusing. Go to a camera type and look under "Drivers and Software." Be sure to specify the operating system you are using. DPP should appear. However, you must have a previous version of in for the updated version to install. Some one here posted the registry entries one needs to make to install it without an original version.

Canon could do a lot better. I ended up calling their TA before I could find it.

As was mentioned, the Canon downloads are upgrades -- they assume you have a previous version installed so you either need the disk on hand or you need to do a workaround.
