So the local ski hill got 6 inches of snow of the weekend (15 miles away) but it didn't seem to affect the insects today as it warmed back up.

I almost got this guy in flight. I'll be better prepared next time. I know the G can do it!

I hear this guy asking "What are you looking at?" :)

These ladies are keeping the aphids at bay on our plum tree. I was able to sneak up on this little one.

All shot with the G11 fitted with the Raynox DCR-150 (love this little guy) using the 430 EX II...all mounted on that wonderfully sophisticated bracket that can be seen in John's post Re flash brackets. :D

Awesome shots idsurfer, very well done indeed. I especially like #1 and #4. That extra bit of DoF you're getting with the 150 vs the razor thin DoF I'm getting with my 250 is going to result in me acquiring one soon, I'm sure. *groan*

Thanks for the comments folks!!

I just picked up a 250 as well. It is going to take some practice, but there is potential. I will say the 150 is sweet though.

I have G10 and wonder which flavor of Raynox DCR-150 (other than Canon) should I look for. I don't want to order something useless. These pictures are just awesome and really what I would like to achieve. With my macros (70-300 in macro mode, Sigma90 mm) my photos come out a little soft and faded (with the Nikon D70) and with the Sigma I have to be very close to the subject, so it "flies away".

Nothing is what it seems!
Canon G10, Nikon D70, Sigma 70-300mm, Nikon 55-200mm, Nikon 80-70mm, Sigma 90mm macro.

Now, the question is:
Nikon D5100 or P500, Canon T3i , T2i, 60D ($$$ guess not)
