I like synchro-flash technique, and have a Vivitar 285 that I use on my other cameras. My question, I have heard that using a non-Canon approved flash for this camera can damage it (voltage level or something), and that it requires a converter of some type to use 'other' flashes.

chikeang Member 74 posts Joined Aug 2002 More info | May 02, 2003 21:55 | #2 check first voltage trigger some old flash can reach 240 vdc if it is less than 20 vdc you can plug it in g2 but remember this flash it is not compactible with your g2 , there are only one way that you can use it,set the camera to M ,speed s/200 and adjust the arpature proprely , set the WB to flash .
