Yes... I think you should consider doing some work in front of the camera as well.
Don't hide behind that 85 ;)

x2! I would love to see some more self-portraits, especially insane creative ones!

I have to admit as well that the bokeh on this is much better than the 70-200 (having been able to use one today), but I'm really going to miss this lens :(

^ Agreed!

I always thought that the 85L and the 70-200 2.8 II were equal in terms of great bokeh, but it looks like I was wrong!

Great shot. :)

Oh definitely not! The 70-200 has some insane bokeh, but the 85L (imo) beats it out of the water with it's creaminess. That being said zoomed in 150mm+ at a near min. focusing distance and you will have some insane creamy bokeh!:)

I should! :D I can only imagine what it's like... 50L + 85L + 135L + 200 2L = perfection! :D

:p hehe, Thanks, but I think I would make a terrible model at this point. I know enough about photography now that I would be insanely picky! haha! And yeah, the 85L is pretty massive. It hides the entire camera body!

Nooo you are selling it then?
But the bokeh on the 70-200 is really nice :) - the 85 is special though. I hope it finds its way back into your hands again!

Yeah, sadly  I'm going to be shooting sports next fall (I'm pretty sure I'll be paid!), so I figured a 70-200 would be worth it, plus I get 85mm + everything else from 70-200. If all goes according to plan by the end of the summer I should have a 17-40 (or 16-35), 50 1.4, 70-200 and possibly another 85L :D

Sounds like it will be a better deal in the end then with those additional lenses.
I still keep my 85L in its lens pouch while its in my camera bag...am I weird?! I swear my 24-105 must be feeling a tad rejected at this point. It stands in a relatively fat shadow of the 70-200 and the 85 combined :) I'll show it some more love soon.

Well, just debating on whether or not to use the 85 or 70-200 is a whole different story!!

And you are right, I'm hoping it's a better deal! I'm going to need an UWA now, otherwise I'm fine with using just the 70-200 for the time being.
