yes you are right, I am struggling with the focus, but I will tame this monster...

Try combining Servo with back button focus. It was night/day difference for me.

I did a lot of research on this topic. Most people that upgraded then thought it was not worth it. I think the only thing you'll benefit is from a faster focus but even then it will not be reliable for sports even though I have seen amazing shots with it. I remember reading optics was minimal change.

Leaving the 85L club for awhile... needed to get back to a 70-200 f/2.8. Sad, but I still have my 35L and 135L, so all is not lost!

85L will find its way back on that mount sooner than you think LOL
