I might give a try as I already have 77mm filter. Not sure if the hood will fit or not. I need that hood when shooting outdoors in sun.

What are your thoughts between the Sigma and 85L having used both?
I spent a month or so contemplating the 2 but ended up with the 85L.
Always interested to hear opinions from those who have used both though.

I've shot both back to back, and just upgraded to the 85mm 1.2 considering it a minor upgrade ... much more money to close a small gap. I think both are exceptional lenses. The Canon seems well worth it's price tag, and I'd describe the Sigma as being worth more than it's price tag. Very satisfied shooting with either.

It was a revelation to me this week to read a chart and find the 1.2's depth of field is virtually not a DOF at minimum focus distance.

That's cool but why did you need the ND filter? :)

^ You could, but then the dredded vignetting starts to slowly creep in... At 1/5000sec, it really starts to show...
