Hey all!

I'm seriously considering the EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM lens. Very sharp!

Would this lens be good for indoor sports? Volleyball and basketball? Is it fast enough focus? I have EF 24mm F/1.4 II USM, EF 70-200mm F/2.8 II USM, EF 400mm f/2.8 USM in my bag. I find 70-200mm works pretty good but there are times when I'd like wider aparture, like this 85mm f/1.2 lens..but worried about if it's fast enough focus for this? I have 5D II, and 40D cameras.

What I'm hoping to see anybody with this lens would post the indoor shots on volleyball and basketball..especially basketball. Would love to see what they look like. Let's see em!

If you're looking to do more indoor sports, then get the 85 1.8. Initial focus acquisition is much faster with the 1.8. While the 1.2 can work, it's not as optimal. Or try your luck with the Sigma 1.4.
