Hey can anyone who is familiar with the Think Tank Retrospective series let me know if the following kit will fit into the the Retrospective 10 or will I need the Retrospective 30

  • 5DII
  • 24LII w/ hood
  • 50L w/ hood
  • 135L w/hood

I'd like the option to have either lens mounted to the body and the other two in lose. It's important the hoods fit and preferably reversed.

I don't know about the 10, but I have the 20 and that would fit no problem.

I think a 10 would fit those three lenses easily.

I have retrospective 10 and its quite big bag. I can put insite 5dII with 24-70 mounted , 35L and 100 2.8 and there is still room for flash or something like that. So i think you can fit your lenses too in retrospective 10

As above 10 is quite big. It nicely expands if you try to put more stuff in it. 5Dii w/ 24-70L + 85mm and 580exII fits in my 10 with lot of space left. :)

those 3 lenses would fit in the 5, but it'd be tight with the body as well...

Thanks for all the replies. It does look bigger in the videos than in the pics. Think I'll order one and see.

I'd guess a 10 should be fine.

The 30 is a beast. It would hold the lens list you're interested in along with your 15FE, your 85/1.8, (with hoods) & your 580EX2.

And at that, it'd be packed loosely enough to be working out of comfortably.

Its a good lookin bag and itll fit those lens easily. My only gripe is the strap that keeps on fallin off when it sits on one shoulder.

I don't know ... I am trying to figure out how to carry a 5D-II, 35L, 135L, and 85/1.8 in the Retrospective-5 and haven't found the magic solution yet. I was even hoping to get a small (270EX) flash and/or 1.4xTC in there too.;);) Perhaps a compromise and have a 35L and 100L Macro?

I love the size of the Retro-5 ... perfect for all day touring! I can get the 5D-II with the 24-105L mounted and the 70-300L to the side, but it is pretty snug (i.e. you can't just drop the camera back into the bag).

May have to settle for just the 5d, 24-105L, and standard sized flash with that bag.

We need a Retro-7.5

Just a thought in passing...I have a Retro 10 and an Urban Disguise 40.
When I bought the Retro, I had regrets. Now that I've shot with it for a 2 week vacation, I'm much happier with it. I don't know whether I adapted, or it did...but I'm much more comfortable working out of the bag and shooting than I was.
One thought...I don't like the rain cover. It leaves a portion of the back of the bag exposed. I would prefer a total cover to keep rain away.
(Spring at Cape Cod was rainy more often than not.)
