Vacations to Seattle and Tucson

Well, my plan to hike Pike's Peak down in Colorado got pushed back for a while but I'll still be spending time in Seattle and Tucson. I would like to do a fair bit of hiking at each location (limited to day hikes) and just wanted to see if there were any "must see" places to get some great photos. Thanks in advance.

Mount Rainer is always a great place, Snoqualmie Falls is a good location (approx 45 minutes from downtown), Kerry Park (Queen Anne area), Elliot Bay (right on Pugot Sound), there are tons of great places in the Seattle area!

I'd also recommend getting a little bit out of town, to the West, and going to Rattlesnake Ridge. It's out near North Bend, and has some pretty nice views back into the Cascades.

Around Seattle, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens and Mt Baker are the best, IMO. In Tucson, Sabino Canyon, Saguaro NP (West section), the Desert Museum and Biosphere II (if still in operation) would be my choices.

while it is about 3 hours away go down to the columbia river gorge area it is beautiful.... pike market( see the original starbucks), bainbridge island ferry ride. many great places to eat in Seattle.

Thanks everyone!!! I have been to Seattle a few times but always for work and not for play. I'm really looking forward to getting away from the city and seeing the gorgeous surrounding area. Tuscon will be an entirely different animal with the heat but I'm really looking forward to seeing what it has to offer. Thanks again for the suggestions!!!
