i love sharp images. i cant deal with soft IQ pictures. so im deciding between 28-75 and 24-105L (price is not a factor).
the tamron has F2.8 and IS and 24-105L is F4 with IS. i know 24-105L is a sharper lens wide open @F4. but how where is the tamron's sharpest aperture?
PS: I dont want the 24-70L because of its weight and size.
The Tamron 28-75mm is a fantastic lens for the price, if price is not a factor I would consider the 24-105 but I think the Tamron has the advantage with the F/2.8 although it doesn't have VC (or IS as you called it). It would be great for you to try both of them at your local camera shop. I had the 28-75, sold it and got the Tamron 17-50 (non-vc) because I shoot with a crop body so 28mm sometimes is not wide enough. Both the 17-50 and the 28-75 are just amazing at what they do for the price.
