Hi Everyone,

I've just migrated from Windows 98 to XP and use Photoshop Elements. Downloaded & installed the Windows XP USB driver from Canon's website

Problem is I cannot import pictures from my G-1 into Photoshop. The thumbnails are visible, however when I try to load the picture, I get the message "Could not complete the import command because of a problem with the scanner"

Dell's support has been worse than useless, Canon & Adobe tech support have not responded. Any of you PC guru's have any ideas of how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

As they say, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

After spending countless hours trying to solve this, I realized that I shoot in RAW mode, and had neglected to install the Canon FileViewer. Duh!

Well, it could be worse ... you could have spent even more time trying to figure out why your battery didn't charge, only to discover that your brand new battery was dead! (re: my posts from last week)

Glad you fixed the problem!
