I got the Canon spring-loaded filter adapter to use with achromatic macro attachments.
Now that I have it I put a polarizer on it as well.
Pretty handy gadget.
My vote is "frequently."

same here but I would be an almost always. Pretty much unless it's in the U/W case

Have fun

I use mine most of the time, so 100% for close up, landscape possibly 95% as I tend to use either Polar/ND/IR or with a wide angle adaptor.

Only had one a little while, but starting into achromatic macros (thanks John :)) and like using polarizer in the daylight. And planning to add more 58mm filters to the collection (ND and IR for sure). Probably will have it on there all the time unless needing to pack smaller as I like the idea of keeping a UV filter on all the time just for the added protection to the lens. And I like the extra grip it affords me (being used to shooting DSLR's alot).

It's literally on the whole time. UV for protection, circular polarizer for beautiful days, and I'm hoping to get achromatic macros later on. :D

I use the filter adapter a lot but often without a filter. The adapter offers some protection but is especially handy for gripping a G series camera.

I have two setups using Lensmate adapters. I keep the part A &C adapters on with a Hoya Moose 72 mm filter on almost all the time (most of my shots are outdoors). The other setup is A & C for use with the Raynox DRC-250 Super Macro lens. I realize you can get less expensive adapters from a variety of sources but I have to say... the quality of Lensmate products makes me smile. Their stuff is unparalleled for beauty, fit and function.

Ooops... parts A & B are for the 72 mm filter. It's late... I work a second shift and got home a few minutes ago.

I have 2 Jackar 72mm & 1 72mm LensMate, ! has a 72mm UV filter & 1 has a 72mm CPL. One or the other is on 100% of the time. I kept one on my G3 & G6, now the G12, FWIW, I ave never had to replace a Canon Camera lens. But I have replaced a few scratched UV filters :):):)

Okay, okay...I have only a cheapo adapter that I use for close up filters. When using these I am at the long end of the FL. My adapter doesn't zoom in and out like the canon. So any other filters I would have issues with. When I'm out and about I don't take one. For me the purpose of a small camera is that it be one unit and easily tucked away. For any other needs the DSLR is going with me.

+1

About the only filter I put on is the CP (occasionally a closeup)

If it moves, snap it - and if it doesn't move, snap it twice just in case it does move!
