Quick access travel camera bag similar to Tamrac Aero 85? It has zipper problems

The zipper of the quick access door of my Aero 85 failed while I was in Iceland and caused much more trouble for me than the volcano that was erupting at the same time.

To replace the bag, I need something similar. Any suggestions?

Requirements

- small enough for hand luggage in most airlines
- can change lenses quickly while standing
- acts like a regular backpack with plenty of space to non-photography stuff
- minimum setup: 5D2, 16-35, 24-105, 70-300 + hopefully space for flash & additional lens

That was the third broken Tamrac zipper for me so I think I've learned my lesson. Everything else was perfect about the bag.

Closer to home I like Kata 3N1-30 but it doesn't have enough space for non-photography stuff. That was also the problem in every other bag I found while searching for a replacement. Aero 85 has 11½w x 6¾d x 9h" (29 x 17 x 23cm) top compartment ( http://tamrac.com/3385.htm (external link) )

So any suggestions for a similar travel bags?

Found Lowepro Fastpack 350 that looks promising. Any personal experiences how it matches with the travel requirements above?

How did your zipper break? I just got a Aero 75 so maybe there's some precautions I can take to make sure I don't break mine. But I do have 2 other Tamrac bags that I've never had issues with so maybe I just don't use my zippers as much as you do.

Aero 85 quick access door zipper got stuck during normal use. After I was certain that gentle moves won't fix the situation, I used a little more force (=far being violent) and it opened but part of the sewing also failed. The zipper was no longer attached both to the door and the bag as it should be and because of the other damage I didn't even try to fix this.

My first failed Tamrac zipper might have been my own fault although I've never seen a zipper fail so easily. After that I've tried to make sure that I always leave enough room in the bags so that Tamrac zippers can be moved without any extra force.

I've used my Kata 3N1-30 more than all the three failed Tamracs combined and the zippers work as smoothly as they did when I bought the bag.

These two verify that the fastpack 350 is good enough for me regarding camera & lenses.

I might have to find a store that actually has the bag to verify that I can store my travel tripod inside (the laptop compartment?) and I'm not yet 100% sure that the top compartment is big enough.

Just got my Lowepro fastpack 350

Mostly looks very good, what I'm slightly worried about is
- the non-photo compartment could be bigger (hopefully is big enough)
- I wish a bit more money would have been spent on the zippers. Could be bigger & don't run smoothly
- waist strap is totally useless for me. Hopefully won't cause any problems

My travel tripod (Slik Sprint Mini) can be put either to the top compartment (tight fit) or the laptop compartment.

In a few days I'll have some real-life experiences of the bag.
