Just wondering if my pop up flash uses ETTL II like my 420 EX Speedlight? Do the same rules & concepts apply aside from the obvious things like amount of power and the assist beam?

Actually, it's not the flash that does the ETTL II "magic" but the camera itself. So any ETTL compatible flash will also support ETTL-II on your camera. ...Leo
