Does anyone know if the different lens hoods (ET-86,ET-87,ET-87II) are compatible with an EF 70-200/2.8L USM,as a replacement of it's dedicated ET-83II ?
...mechanically (bayonet-mount),as well as optically?
TIA!

Unfortunately the number on the hood indicates the size of the bayonet mount, so the 86 hood will not fit a lens with an 87mm mount (and vice-versa). -Dave

These 70-200 are all 77 mm if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if 83,86 and 87 numbers are only related to different "flavours" (read:generations) of the 70-200,though. Thanks, No no, not talking about the filter size. I know its 77. 5DMarkIII+Grip | Extender 1.4x III / 2x III
