My everyday walk around is my 24-70 2.8L which I adore, but at the Zoo I would prefer a 70-200 if I had one lol Canon 7D | Canon 24-70 2.8L| Tamron 70-200 2.8 VC | Canon 50 1.8 | Canon 18-55 3.5 IS | Speedlite 430EX II | LowPro Slingshot 202AW | Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 | LCDVF | Home Strobist Setup | GoPro Hero3+ Black

My thinking is that on a crop body I would be happier with the 18 at the wide end vs the 28 I have now. I also thought that the speed (f2.8 @ 18mm) and the OS (IS) as well as the HSM would make it a good snapshot lens while in the parks. Hands down. while you'll have 2 lenses with you you gett better optics then that 18-200. The 70-200 is pretty much what I take with me to any zoo since the cages for some of them are huge. You need around 17-18mm at the wide end at Disney. 24 might be pushing it. You will have to backup alot. Canon 5D mark iii, 7D Mark ii, 100-400mm ii, 24-70mm f/2.8 ii, 70-200mm f/2.8 ii ,Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 contemporary,1.4x iii, 580EX II, Lowpro Pro roller X300
