Been wanting to replace my kit lens. With my 20D, I have a 50 f1.4 and a Bigma. What something for the short semi-wide.

Based on my budget, I've narrowed my list down to these:

Canon 24mm f/2.8 - $289.95
Sigma 28mm f/1.8 $224.95
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 $ 379.95
Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 $329.95
Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 $ 384.95

Which one of these will you recommend? Want something for family gatherings and birthday parties. This will fill a void as I don't have anything desirable under 50mm.

Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 EX DC
Canon 17-40 f/4L
Canon 17-85 IS
Canon 15mm Fisheye
Canon 35 f/2
Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 EX
Canon 16-35 f/2.8L

are some other options to consider. (some in your budget, some beyond to varying degrees)

How about the Canon 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM, for ~$230?

The Tamron 28-75 or Sigma 24-70 are my picks.
